recently i have signed up in the gym at school. for 2 sessions now, i have been feeling super super successful. I have lost weight and most importantly, i feel so much change in my lifestyle.
School has started, i am feeling the urge to do all my work diligently.

I have been listening to this christian song, i was just so speechless over the simple tune AND meaningful lyrics. then i paused and wondered.
"How come Buddhism doesn't have all these beautiful hymns and songs which just brings us closer to knowing more about buddhism? Where has the various methods of learning Buddhism gone to? Why the traditional way of learning Buddhism has to be through the intellectual domain?  A simple song not only brings people together, but it somehow gives people a means of relating the song to their daily life. Have you ever pictured the immense positive energy from a wholesome activity which could be as simple as singing a song which "renews" our faith and gives us a new found perspective OR new found energy to perservere on?
I am just thankful for having heard the christian song which have truly inspired me to do the same thing for Buddhism. To spread the teachings of Buddha through music. Not everyone learns through the conventional method of sitting down and listening to a teacher go on for an hour+.
I want to give youngsters as well as young children to know that Buddhism in itself isn't something so boring and stagnant NOR something so restrictive. From my point of view, i certainly think, more youngsters are moving away from Buddhism due to the fact that, it just doesn't have enough holding power and doesn't give the youngsters enough reason to stay on to learn MORE about buddhism.

Sad eh?

I will certainly compose a song, so true about Buddhism and yet, mesmerizing which renews the lost faith of wavering Buddhist. what's more, it's the wholesome+positive energy invoked from listeners and people who sing to the song that i am looking for. With all that positive energy, it just makes people feel so peaceful and happy.

Who ever mentioned that music only makes people addicted?
P.S: you guys must be wondering what was the song that i was listening to, which made me so fired up.

Yesterdays, sunday day school session was the most interesting to me, i got to meet up some of my friends whom i have not seen for months, and talk to a few of my students.

To my surprise, while having lunch with my class, one of the boys stayed back at the lunch table and chatted with us. He started off with talking about his own interests, then as we were more engrossed in the conversation, he mentioned that he had autism, but on the mild side. I was shocked to hear that. This piqued my interest alot. Many questions were running through my head. After having known a little about Autism, and having spent some of my holidays reading about Autism, I asked him curiously, what were the problems he faced in his general education school as well as the special school.
He said, he always had cases of classmates bullying him in the general education school, having heard all the vulgarities, he was taught to ignore. At times he struggles a challenging problem inside him whether he should scold them back with what was thrown at him. He would then remember his fathers advice on people bullying him.
After hearing what seemed to be the boy's main concern in schools, i started wondering and thinking back. In sunday classes, he also gets bullied by his classmates. Not only do the bullies poke fun and call him names, they dislike him too.
I as a teacher in charge of them, should do something about it.
I am thinking of talking to the whole class about the boy's condition and explain to the class how things can be hard for him and how we all can work together to make is learning successfull.
But, i should approach the boy to ask him if he is agreeable with informing the class about his condition first.
Any comments? I would like to approach this matter with utmost sensitivity and i would like to avoid stepping on anyones toes.
